Jon founded DuCroz architects in 2014 after working for Berman Guedes Stretton architects for 14 years.  Jon has accrued a broad range of experience in his career and has a particular passion for contemporary design in historic contexts.

For his final three years at Berman Guedes Stretton Jon acted as UK project architect for Richard Meier & Partners, detailing and overseeing the construction of Meier's only building in the UK - a private country house.

Jon is a member of RIBA, the Royal Institute of British Architects.

Anna Algne - Interior Designer

Anna studied Interior Architecture at Oxford Brookes University. She spent 11 years working at Berman Guedes Stretton architects and rose to Associate Designer. She was responsible for the delivery of major refurbishment and fit out projects that included work in The Shard and for Oxford University. 

Anna joined DuCroz architects in 2015 and she provides an essential link between the architecture and the interior design of our buildings. She has a strong Scandinavian approach to design and works closely with clients to develop individually tailored interiors informed by her experience and understanding of the whole building process. 

Anna is a member of SA, Swedish Associated Architects.

Samir qualified as an architect in Damascus and worked on projects in Syria and Iraq before moving to the UK in 2016.  He has particular experience in high-end residential and commercial projects.

Samir gained experience of the UK construction industry with Willmot Dixon and Triangle Architects in Manchester before moving to Oxfordshire and joining DuCroz architects.

In 2022 Samir completed training with the Passive House Institute and is now a Certified Passive House Consultant.

 

Natalie Shorter - Interior Designer

Natalie studied Spatial Design, specialising in Interior Design at Buckinghamshire New University, followed by a Post Graduate Diploma in Architecture at Oxford Brookes University.  She worked at Berman Guedes Stretton Architects for 14 years, gaining experience working on a wide range of interior and architectural projects in the higher education, leisure and residential sectors and was involved in all stages of the architectural process. These include the internal fit out of level 17 of the Shard building in London, space planning and interior design for a significant NGO in both the UK and Islamabad, and numerous teaching facilities at University of Warwick. She has also worked on an analysis and internal redesign of the Royal Society of Medicine and the BUPA Royal and Presidential Suites at the Cromwell Hospital in London, as well as a wide range of residential projects in Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.

Naomi Lorenzana-Cessford - Interior Designer

Naomi studied an Art & Design Foundation at Oxford Brookes University before deciding to do an Interior Architecture degree. Her style of work and design has been influenced from both her Scandinavian and British heritage.

Before joining DuCroz architects in 2021 she worked at Purcell as an Interior Designer taking commercial projects from concept to delivery. This involved careful coordination with specialists, contractors, structural and MEP consultants. Prior to this Naomi worked for bulthaup, where she was immersed in the high-end residential sector. She later worked for HollandGreen, looking after project wide interior schemes throughout Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.

David Bonta - Architect

David began working with DuCroz architects in 2021. Previously an associate director at Berman Guedes Stretton, David has a wealth of design experience and has worked for numerous practices in Oxford and London.

David is freelance and splits his time between DuCroz architects and Taw Fitzwilliam, another local practice and good friends of the DuCroz team.

Tessa studied Natural Sciences (Physics) at Cambridge University, and went on to work in several roles in software development, business and financial systems, and project management in the UK and Australia, before joining DuCroz architects in 2018.
